That’s a good question. I think the difference is that something like a factory canon should be run for efficiency, but something like a game like basketball should not be run for efficiency, and that’s the problem with capitalist Absolutism
why shouldn't it? if efficiency means scoring the most points with as little wasted energy as possible, isn't that what teams already strive for? i think the difference is that now we are much better at quantifying it. maybe the NBA should build in extra points for style.
