The truth is everywhere...
I was watching an X-Files episode recently, where the opening credits end with THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE, inspiring viewers to go seek out the truth—about aliens, demons, monsters, and everything else you can imagine. This message was a way of going against the grain, trying to discover these hidden truths that the powers that be were obscuring from the masses. The seeker of truth had to be a lone wolf—like Mulder—who endured ridicule at every point. This was how seeking the truth about occult phenomena was always framed.
It struck me that this has been totally reversed now. Every other day there is a government official claiming that they have seen beings of non-human origin, that the aliens are in fact demons, that they have seen UFO footage, etc. Trump is planning to release top-secret UFO documents that have long been hidden. There is so much alien disclosure happening—from the highest government officials themselves, not from fringe conspiracy theorists—that it’s hard to even keep track of. This was a very quick overview of the flurry of disclosure news that has been happening just over the last month or so—but this has been ramping up for years now. I’m sure if you follow the news at all, you’re familiar with this—and how different it is from how things used to be, especially in the 90s, when the X-Files was airing. Quite a reversal from when the truth was out there—somewhere—hidden, waiting, if you can fight through the coverups and agents working against you. The reason for the truth being covered up was always something like: the masses couldn’t handle knowing that UFOs and aliens are real, it would cause mass hysteria, society would break down, etc. Now it’s the opposite—it seems like they want you to go crazy. Mainstream media and government officials are pushing alien disclosure, as if they’re trying to terrify and drive the masses insane. Even the story about the scientists being murdered—because they were involved in research into covert alien technology—was seemingly pushed by mainstream media and politicians, like it was a cover up, but also that they somehow wanted everyone to know about it.
It used to be—the truth is out there, and you had to find it. Now, you don’t find the truth—it finds you. The truth is no longer just out there—now it’s everywhere, in your face, all the time.
This is a very strange shift! It’s not that the truth being pushed on you isn’t true—I think everything they are saying, more or less, is true—it’s that it somehow seems to become less true when you don’t have to search for it. The truth is only really true when it’s out there—and not when it’s everywhere. Truth that isn’t discovered isn’t really truth anymore. It seems to me that this is an even better strategy than hiding the truth—flooding people with it to make it seem somehow less true, less important.
