Teenagers aren't driving anymore

There was a funny article today about why teenagers are increasingly deciding not to even bother getting their driver’s license anymore. The article makes the usual pathetic attempts to explain why this is happening, and it’s just chickenshit as always when so-called “experts” try to make sense of the unstoppable social death all around us.

What’s really going on? It’s pretty simple. Young people have been raised in digital space, so they have seen a lot of the world on their phones at all times. And they have seen enough of it to know that they want no part of it. They are confronted with how evil, empty, and hopeless the world is. They were even locked inside for a year or two and forced to totally exist through digital space, which heightened all of this a lot. So they know that there is no reason to go outside, and there is nothing out there for them. And, crucial point, they are correct in thinking this.

It is not some mystery, and it is not the case that young people are somehow misguided or wrong about their choice to not be part of the world. They are reading the world correctly, and they are correct to not want anything to do with it. So it is not surprising that they are not bothering to get driver’s licenses—in fact, it would be surprising if they actually did want to drive and be part of the world. They don’t care about driving around in the world because they are smart enough to know what the world is like, and that it is not worth exploring in any way whatsoever.

Another big part of all this is that there simply is nowhere for them to drive to. Everything is available online—they can watch anything on their phone, they can order any item on their phone, they can just watch porn on their phone. Why go outside? There are no shopping malls to go to anymore. No stores to shop in (except like the Dollar Store, the only store that is actually doing well in this dead economy).

Also, dating used to be a big reason why teenagers would want to drive. You had to have a car to go on dates. But young people aren’t really dating much anymore. Why? Because they’re all too insane to do it, and they know that it will lead nowhere. They also can just watch porn instead of having sex.

So this little thing—teenagers not getting driver’s licenses anymore—really tells you a lot about the massive, permanent social death that is our only future. We don’t even need to look at big things like the impending nuclear war happening with Russia.
